"Delivering Jacob" Cover Reveal Giveaway

My short story/novelette, Delivering Jacob, was inspired by the loss of my first son, Aydin. A combination of crime fiction, mystery, romance, and thrills, this story has something for everyone. It will be released by MuseItUp Publishing this fall, and in celebration of the recently completed cover (which will be made public on Friday, July 3), I am holding a giveaway. Three winners will be randomly chosen and announced on July 3. Each winner will receive a signed 11 x 17 poster of the cover, a mouse pad with the cover on it, and an advanced (pre-release) e-book copy of the book. Entering is simple, so get to it!

"Atlanta police officer Jacob Schmidt mourns the loss of his son, Ken, the grief having torn apart his marriage in the process. Jacob, in a deep state of depression, would do anything to see Ken again, including suicide. Given the choice between a second chance at life and being reunited with his son, Jacob must decide what he truly wants."

  1. Kevin, I'm sorry about the loss of your son. Donating the royalties from your book to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is wonderful. Best wishes.

    1. Thank you, Susan. I typically donate all royalties from my books to this charity, but I think it makes even more sense with this book. I might do something extra where I match the royalties before making the donation. Personally, the loss of a child is the most difficult thing I've ever experienced, and no one should have to go through it.

    2. Kevin, my son and daughter-in-law lost their daughter, our granddaughter. They went to counselling for grieving parents for about a year. None of us and especially them, have ever gotten over her death. You can't, ever.

I'm really sorry about your son.

    3. That's true. You never get over it. You just find a way to move on and deal with it, but the loss never goes away. I'm sorry you lost your granddaughter. Not everyone has something good come from their loss, but we're thankful for our second son, Skyler. We never would have tried again so soon if we hadn't lost Aydin, so Skyler is here because of him, and we know Aydin is looking out for his little brother.

  2. I think what you are doing is wonderful, and I would spend the day with my pa-honey (grandpa) He was a special part of my life when nobody else was, he meant the world to me and I miss him so much,

  4. I can't imagine the grief a parent losing a child goes through. St. Jude's is an awesome way to honor all children. If I could spend a day with someone who has passed it would be my "mum" (Grandmom) Sadie. She was 100% PA Dutch and a classy lady to boot.
